Circa 1970, "Born in 1944, Hopi jewelry artist Weaver Selina, began his career in 1967, working and studying at the Hopicrafts shop. He studied jewelry making under Bernard Dawahoya and other experienced jewelers. He is from the village of Shungopavi at Second Mesa. He and his wife, Alberta, who makes coiled baskets, own and operate Selina Hopi Silver Arts and Crafts, on Hwy 264 about a mile south of the Hopi Cultural Center." (hoelsindianshop.com)
